Inspired by the 584-day Venus cycle, this piece depicts Venus in three forms: as her anthropomorphic self, as her symbolic self, and as her planetary body. Her human figure turns away from her planetary form, facing towards the beckoning pearl: a new beginning. She prepares for her journey into the Sun, where she will meet her demise to be reborn. In her departure, she casts both a stark shadow and a brilliant light.
